TTS offers a range of innovation and reliable guide solutions for wire, rod, section and angled profile products, each individually developed to meet the specific of our customers’ requirements.

We understand that innovative, reliable guides, that don’t involve overcomplicated assembly whilst remaining simple and quick to set give our customers a competitive edge. This has been reflected in the design and raw material used for material, the use of forged stainless-steel bodies ensure performance in the most demanding conditions.

TTS has the capabilities to offer a range of out of the catalogue guides, whilst maintaining the ability to adapt these designs to the specific requirement of our customers. Our in-house design team can also accommodate bespoke guide projects, as we understand that stock designs don’t always facilitate unique requirements.

Entry Guides

Used to ensure accurate and stable stock presentation to the mill roll bite, the assisted stability offered by TTS roller entry guides ensures a consistent and controlled rolling process, essential for producing high quality products with uniform dimensions and surface finish.

Manufactured from a forged stainless-steel body, complimented by replaceable wear parts, single point symmetrical adjustment of guide rolls, our Monoblock guide series is available in 2-roller and 4-roller variants.

Our range of 2-roller and 4-roller entry guides are available in various custom sizes depending on your requirements, they incorporate the features and technology incorporated into our high-speed finishing guides, inclusive of individual water cooling for prolonged static and roller wear, variable static designs and sizes and single point symmetric adjustment. Modified designs are also available for heavy duty applications.

This guide series also includes a 4-roller guide design for flats and angle sections, featuring single point width adjustment, split static design, wear protection pads, eccentric roller adjustment and direct water cooling for rolls.

High Speed Finishing Guides

The design of roller guides for high-speed applications, such as in wire rod mills, requires certain characteristics to fulfil the high demands in high-speed rolling. Our range for high-speed finishing block guides are manufactured from European sourced high wearing, stainless forgings for maximum rigidity and component life. Our guides feature single point symmetrical roller adjustment, direct water cooling for rolls, chock of lubrication system and replaceable nose piece. These guides can be retrofitted to various finishing block designs.

Slitting Guides

Designed to facilitate 2, 3, 4 and 5 strand splitting, increasing maximum equipment through-put, whilst maintaining product stability during the process. Modular design (Split Housing) that allows for individual replacement of wear parts, including detachable knife inserts for quick change over. Spring loaded floating roll system accommodates single point roll adjustment.

3- Roller Entry Guides: Angles

Design specifically to accommodate control of angle and profiled section products, the 3-roller assists with the positive alignment with the roll pass. Benefiting from eccentric roller pins for increase adjustment, accompanied with single point adjustment of bottom rolls and a sprung loaded top roll quick adjustment with axial adjustment.

Twister Guides

TTS offers two series of twister guide, a solution for close stand rolling and another to provide maximum stability during greater interstrand distances. Our designs incorporate an outboard cassette system, a solution for roughing and intermediate stands or cartridge style for space restricted positions and multi-strand rolling, both are manufactured from cast stainless steel bodies for maximum rigidity and wear performance when underload. Other features include Direct water cooling and lubrication points are available to optimize roll and bearing life and single point twist adjustment with positive lock off.

Rollers

TTS has made recent investment into an automation cell for the sole production of guide rollers, ensuring consistent quality to drive costs whilst ensuring our guide rollers are low wearing. Our cell benefits from twin spindle with automated Passover between spindles, ensuring reliability of concentricity between bearing bores, and run out of roller form.

In-house automated manufacture is completement by special heat treatment to enhance mechanical properties and on-site raw material stock holding to ensure quick delivery. Rollers are available in a range of materials including but not limited to cold work tool steel, hot work tool steel, titanium carbide and high-performance tool steels (C 2.45%, Cr 5.25%, Mo 1.30% & V 9.75%).
